Detailed Description

A gap in the stream event.

See create() for more details.

Member Function Documentation

◆ create()

static Glib::RefPtr<Gst::EventGap> Gst::EventGap::create ( Gst::ClockTime  timestamp,
Gst::ClockTime  duration
)
static

Create a new GAP event.

A gap event can be thought of as conceptually equivalent to a buffer to signal that there is no data for a certain amount of time. This is useful to signal a gap to downstream elements which may wait for data, such as muxers or mixers or overlays, especially for sparse streams such as subtitle streams.

Parameters
timestampThe start time (pts) of the gap.
durationThe duration of the gap.
Returns
The new GAP event.

◆ parse()

void Gst::EventGap::parse ( Gst::ClockTime timestamp,
Gst::ClockTime duration
) const

Extract timestamp and duration from a new GAP event.

Parameters
timestampLocation where to store the start time (pts) of the gap.
durationLocation where to store the duration of the gap.

◆ parse_duration()

Gst::ClockTime Gst::EventGap::parse_duration ( ) const

Parse duration of the gap event.

Returns
The duration.

◆ parse_timestamp()

Gst::ClockTime Gst::EventGap::parse_timestamp ( ) const

Parse timestamp of the gap event.

Returns
The timestamp.
